Uploading from disk

I am missing files, but now if I upload photos from a disk I can't type in a name. It automatically goes to a separate Adobe file. They are all together in that file . Right now there are 3 different files all together from separate disk. Why can't I name it and separate  it , have each date a separate file. Instead I have to click on Adobe file, and they are all together I can't separate them. Also how can I put the file on a disk to give it to someone.
