Knowing about the core system structure, the goals for each module and the system module structure as well as what people need from them. And knowing how web apps work in the back end Adam... Still have to very much strongly disagree on that quite a lot.

The last bit about create their own version is actually the core scope of open platform, it is just a baby though, because you need things like the ability to do front end rendering (which happens to have a new system coming out soon which will allow BC to expand the concepts on) along with better core "pipes" basically for the system with the APi's etc into new system (SOAP to REST) etc.
Which is all exactly what BC are doing now. So they are already on the right path, I do not want them to change that at all.
