I received footage to edit with .mov at the end of each file. I assume it was exported through FCP--but unsure. I only have FCP 5 on my computer and the file is not opening in Premiere Pro (nor on FCP 5). I added more codecs to my Quicktime library--but that still didn't solve the issue. So, I just exported the QT file to 1080p through Quicktime. I am able to import this new file into Premiere Pro--but it is significantly smaller (went from 776.5MB to 294.9MB). Is this new smaller file okay to work with? I actually don't see a difference in quality on my screen--but perhaps there is something missing that I don't see. The final output for this film will be h.264.
