I would not recommend to turn the spread 90°, because the baseline grid is still rotated. I would do it otherwise to get a normal baseline grid across the spread

1. Create a new document. Deactivate facing pages. Even number of pages.
   
2. Don’t allow pages to shuffle:
   Open Page Panel (Window > Pages)
   Select all pages
   In the panel menu deactivate "Allow pages to shuffle".
   
3. Move pages together, 2 pages per spread:
   In the Page Panel move the Pages together, 2 side by side.
   
4. Reorder pages vertically:
   Choose the Page Tool
   In the Document Window move the right page below the first page on each spread.
   
   The page should snap in at the correct position.
