Re: How do you make a page with embedded sounds work in any browser?

Thanks for replying.

I looked at both those pages in my quest for a solution but couldn't see a feature or command to make a sound play on mouse click.

I was going to purchase the amazing player but it seems to be about playing songs rather than playing sounds when mouse-clicking on a part or a picture..

Should I convert my page to HTML5 first?

Do I need to rewrite all my sound/play commands?

Here is one of the picture/sound codes at the moment:

<area shape="rect" coords="58,327,135,386" alt="" onclick="MM_controlSound('play','document.CS1407497903043','Arrernte Sound chart/Alcoota soundchart/Support files/merne e.wav')" onmouseover="MM_swapImage('Sound_Chartfireworks','','Arrernte Sound chart/Alcoota soundchart/chart23.gif',1)" onmouseout="MM_swapImgRestore()" />

How should I replace that with a <play> command?

I'm still new to writing pages and only know the most basic things.

Getting these pages right s important as I want to share them with other schools to help with local languages.
