I'll give a guess. You are opening your photos in Adobe Camera Raw when you double-click them. That's because your Bridge Preferences are set up for that.

Go into Bridge preferences and uncheck "Double-click edits raw camera settings in Bridge". Click OK to confirm. Your pics should open in Photoshop. Look at the screenshot below to see where that is.
