Apparently you don't yet fully understand how Lightroom works. The adjustments made in Lightroom are not "in" the file. The adjustments are stored in the catalog. The file itself remains the way it was originally. If you convert to DNG, the adjustments will still be in the catalog. But if you want to start over on that DNG file all that is necessary is to click on the reset button. Clicking on reset will apply the same default settings, and the DNG file will be restored to the same settings that the raw file had when it was first imported. And, just to clarify, even clicking the reset button doesn't do anything to the image file itself. It only resets the settings in the catalog to the default settings.
