Re: Creative Cloud will not  install Acrobat Pro

It would have been ever so nice if tech support had told me there is no separate version of Acrobat through CC. It would have saved me hours of work, especially since the Adobe installer crashed my whole boot drive. But at least I concluded I'll never subscribe. It's one thing if a core tool in software causes problems; it's another when licensing and DRM causes the problems. I suspect that's what's going on here; why not just have installers?

In any case, I tried each and every step in on the page you cite. Acrobat still shows as installed when it isn't. And BTW, the log files are NOT where your documentation says they should be. You should update that web page with current information.

I don't see why tech support can't simply tell me HOW Adobe's installers check to see if previous versions exist. Or why Adobe doesn't have simple log files showing where things were installed. The uninstaller and cleaner have left Adobe folders and files all over the place.

And, finally, the original problem I had, that Acrobat XI crashes upon using the File>Properties...>"Additional metadata..." still persists.
