Obviously, Corel and PSE have different features.
I selected the nymph with the lasso tool, then selected a portion of the background with the rectangular marquee tool
Opened a blank file in portrait orientation (your last post has it in landscape)
Pasted the background and stretched it with the move tool to cover the canvas
Pasted the nymph.
It takes a little work, and all backgrounds would not be suitable.
